A Win and a Change

The GOP Senate effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act has failed, for now. And we could not be more relieved and more proud of everyone who has spent any minute of their time calling, writing, texting, and tweeting, about this issue in the last several months. Together our efforts created the colossal wave that was needed to turn this ship.

Some people call this citizen activism, but we at 2 Hours A Week deeply believe this is just what it means to be an active participant in our country. To care, means to be civically engaged!

Take this week to reach out to your senators and thank them for standing up to protect our healthcare. The Trump administration is not ready to give up yet, so make sure we have our senators' backs when the repeal talk comes back up!

We also wanted to let you know that we will be reducing our emails to four a week so that we can spend more time researching and developing them. Starting next week, we will not be sending emails on Wednesday unless there is an urgent issue at hand. Thank you!

What you can do

1. THANK THEM! Our senators worked hard and made tough decisions. If yours stood up against the Senate Healthcare bill, then give them a ring and let them know what it means to you!

Hi
I am calling to thank Senator_____ for standing up to protect our healthcare. Thank you for listening to the people you represent, and making sure our voices are heard in this battle. I hope we can be a little relieved now, but should a repeal come up in the future, I urge you to again listen to your constituents the matter.
