Action 171: This Request Does Not Compute

Ironically, even Kris Kobach won't heed his own request for states to turnover the personal and public data of the country's 200 million voters to Trump's Presidential Advisory Commission on Voter Integrity. Kobach, who is the commission's vice-chair and infamous for voter suppression in his own state, said that Kansas' privacy laws prevented him from fully complying with the request. So why does he want other states to turn over the data?

The entire premise of the commission lies on Trump's fraudulent claim that rampant voter fraud resulted in his loss in the popular vote. Despite research and state reports that have repeatedly found that voter fraud is exceedingly uncommon, Kobach has claimed that it is widespread.

The endgame here will be to portray the voting system as vulnerable and then set the stage for more restrictive laws making it harder for people to register and vote.

Only 25 states have publicly rebuffed the request so far. If you are in any of the remaining states below, please make the calls listed in Actions! And wherever you live make this issue public on social media.

I am calling as a Voter to insist that you safeguard my personal information and do not turn over voter information to the federal Kobach-Pense Commission. That Commission, premised on the lie of rampant illegal voting, is nothing more than a partisan attempt to manipulate our voting processes to make it harder for eligible Americans to vote. Please issue a statement refusing to comply.
